Our club
Tsuruoka Kai Karate Do is a non-profit corporation affiliated with both the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo. We are a member of the Tsuruoka Karate Association of Ontario, the Tsuruoka Karate Federation of Canada, Karate Ontario and the National Karate Association.
We’re the Tsuruoka Kai Karate Dojo of Kitchener-Waterloo. Since our club’s inception approximately 12 years ago, membership has grown steadily and we’ve introduced nearly 1,000 people to Tsuruoka Karate-Do.

To provide the opportunity for youth and adults in the twin cities, to train in Tsuruoka Karate-Do regardless of ability, so that each individual may experience the benefits of Tsuruoka Karate-Do as embodied by its founder Masami Tsuruoka.
Philosophy of the club
To provide a training environment which allows all members to study Tsuruoka Karate Do at their level and to encourage all members to advance at the speed which provides them with the greatest benefit.
